Since the reincarnation of Scandinavian design, Denmark's laid-back capital has turned into a fashion metropolis overnight. Copenhagen represents a mix of architecture somewhere between the traditional and modern, and is widely seen as the capital of Nordic cool. Far removed from little mermaids and the royal promenade of Stroeget, long-forgotten areas of the city have been developing with stylish beach clubs, good restaurants and cool designer shops.
